Poetariat

Please forgive me for my recent misbehavior

as it is fueled by ill fated memories

of which this fragile heart of my being

has yet to recover from.

The remedy is not so clear,

perhaps time, patience and positivity

will heal these deep wounds that have

been neglected in hopes of being forgotten.

Selfish it is of me to share the negativity,

I fear that I must withdraw and

find sanctuary elsewhere to

shield you from my sadness.
